Life Insurance with Felony Conviction
I am trying to purchase life insurance for me and my wife. Back in 2001 I was convicted of a felony. Now that we try to purchase life insurance they are trying to charge us an outrageous premium due to the conviction. I could be wrong, but I don't see how this makes us a higher risk. Both of our medical exams came back excellent. I am 34 yrs. and my wife is 30 yrs. old. Please advise. Should I just look elsewhere for life insurance or will I encounter this with all insurance companies I attempt to purchase insurance from? Your help will be greatly appreciated.

A felony conviction can make you a higher risk, but if you apply with the right company, and your broker knows how to represent you, the extra premium may not be great at all. Please contact me directly for details.
